Gambling software developer Playtech has expanded its footprint in the US even further with the launch of strategic agreements with various subsidiaries of Greenwood Racing.

Under the deal, Playtech will license its products to the Greenwood companies in Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Greenwood, which owns and manages Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, also boasts of a digtal and retail presence in New Jersey at the Freehold Raceway. It also operates land-based sports betting in Michigan in partnership with Gun Lake Casino.

Playtech was granted regulatory approval to launch in Michigan on December 2020. It praised its upcoming moves in the country after expanding to the US market after gaining license approval and launch with bet365 and Entain in New Jersey.

“This strategic partnership with the Greenwood companies represents a major milestone for Playtech and I’m excited to work with them to help achieve their growth plans in the coming years,” Mor Weizer, Playtech CEO, said.

Playtech also released an update saying that its 2020 full year performance is expected to be ahead of expectations, praising the “hard work, resilience and commitment of its people” and strategic and operational progress as factors in succeeding amidst a challenging environment.
